ABOUT JR ROLLER DERBY BOOT CAMP
JR Roller Derby Boot Camp is to prepare skaters for South Side JR Roller Derby Tryout Day. Roller Derby Boot Camp is held on Monday nights 6pm - 7pm. The cost is $65 a month or $25 per class. This includes speed skating, derby-specific drills and exercises, conditioning drills and overall agility. Every skater will receive instruction on each drill from a member of the South Side Roller Derby coaching staff.
Roller Derby Boot Camp is your first step towards becoming a Jr South Side Skater. Our Roller Derby Boot Camp will get your body conditioned and ready for South Side Jr Roller Derby Tryout Day. Once a month, we will hold tryouts for those who wish to see if they have what it takes to be a part of South Side Roller Derby. (Contact Us for more info and when tryouts are held).

You will need:
PROTECTIVE GEAR -
helmet
knee pads
elbow pads and
wrist guards

If your not ready to dump a $100 and up on a pair of derby skates and protective gear we have loaner equipment available

if I make the cut on Try Out day?
You must be prepared to
- pay $65/month to be a South Side member
- Be mentally and financially prepared to spend $100 and up on your own gear.
- Practice Mon and Wed
- Must have SSRD Approved skates and protective gear.
